Its long overdue in getting the blog updated. We've been throwing all our thoughts, energy and money into building the medical spa. Alpine Aesthetics & Wellness Clinic will be open for business on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. YIKES Here we go. Here are pictures of some of the process of creating the space. We had to tear out walls, design, build new spaces, paint, carpet, shop, shop, shop (believe it or not, you do get tired of spending money). Everyone has worked hard and kept good relationships through it all. We have each had our turn at panic attacks. We hope it will all be worth it in the end.

Due to popular demand
Happy Spring!!!! I hope that the warm weather is going to stick around for a while. I thought I would post Rachel doing the Harry Potter song. If you are confused about why this is so funny, go to YouTube and search for Harry Potter Puppet Pals in the Mysterious Ticking Noise and play it.

We're home again
Hello to all you precious people. Wow! was that ever fun! It was so awesome to go visit with Alex's mission people. The president, the missionaries and the members and converts who loved him so well over the past 2 years. I will never forget some of the wonderful people we met. It brings such a warm feeling to my heart every time I think about the events of the last week. How everyone just took time to love and enjoy each other. All the events were such fun, but the best thing was just being together. I love our family. I am including just a few pics that turned out extra nice until we get a cd made for everyone to share.

/,BFDE2QQQI am so excited! Only 6 days till we party!!! I can't wait to see everybody, especially Alex. Shaun talks about seeing him about as much as he talks about going to Disneyworld.
So I am having more dizziness, and they still can't figure out why. I was supposed to have a tilt table test today (tttt) but I was told to fast for 2 hours and when I got there they said 6 hours. I was very mad because I had to jump through so many hoops to get the kids watched and have Steve there with me as my designated driver after no sleep last night, and having 3 (count them 3) patients die on him. 0110

This is the first stage of "during" - once the wall paper came down as far as I was able and/or willing to do. It remained this way for a shameful 2 or so years...

Then phase 2 of "during" lasted much less time - a couple of weeks? A guy in our ward is a contractor, and he came in and gave us relief from turquoise paradi... I mean prison! And a guy Frank knows came in and plastered and sanded and painted (rinse and repeat...) the walls. We had dust EVERYWHERE!!! I could taste the plaster that whole day. YUCK!

And here's the final product with paper-free walls, turquoise-free, um, everything... as it should be. Shame that we fix it up so nice for someone else to enjoy it... Actually, if it had been for us, we'd have sprung for new linoleum, and the wall color would've been a light sage. But this is cheap and generic. Good enough and neutral is the name of the game here.
So we found the Dorothy shoes at WalMart because we already had the dress and the bag. So what if she's never seen Wizard of Oz? How could she NOT be Dorothy?! By the way, thanks for youtube.com, she DID see it before we went anywhere in the costume. Call it research... :)
This outfit was Bekah's doing. Yeah, this is one to save and bring out when the boyfriends come over...

Okay, NOW I can play...
Hi family! I can't WAIT till Disney World! Two reasons: Disney World, and I will be done getting my house ready to sell. My list of things to do to get ready is SOOOOOO long. Anybody want to mother my children for the next month? (Well, I'll take them back for Christmas Eve and Day...)
I'll keep you updated on the sell/buy. Hopefully it'll go really fast. We're just chomping at the bit to get on with the next stage of things.
Hope you all have a great December. I'm realizing that Christmas as an adult is a LOT different than as a kid. There's a lot to do!
Welp, love yas. The Balderdash word of the day is: abibliophobia.

Yay!
Here I go. Images of my short trip east to see our "distant relatives". It is so good to see everyone in their own environment and meet friends and such. All the little ones are growing and getting cuter by the minute!Nathan is such a sweet boy. He steals your heart with his little smile.
Rebekah and Leah are fine little ladies.
And all their parents are doing a great job
I have got to learn how to put the comments close to the actual pictures, but this is a good start. I couldn't help including the pic of Derek asleep....what an angel
This should be tons of fun for everyone!!!

Here are pics from my travels this last week. It was such fun to be with the Webers and the Schwartz's. What fine families they are. Also, pics of Jodie and Tim's first anniversary. We froze the top of that beautiful wedding cake and then thawed it on the appropriate "one year" day. It was delicious!!! The babies are getting big.
Tyler Turned 17!!!!!! (same as Harry Potter did this year)

This is what I envision the Madsen compound to look like.
+of+Copy+of+137-3787_IMG.JPG)

Well, I have officially gone and done it. I have create the family blog. This is something we can all post to, and all play with. It should be a great time. Just talk about whatever is going on, updates, or sillyness. This is our online living room, so lets be on our best Madsen living behavior (if you know what I mean... and I think you do!)
